DEAR FAITH FORMATION FAMILIES,
We are set to begin Early Bird Faith Formation Registration for the 2026-2027 school year for Grades PreK through 5th Grade. Registration opens Friday, June 12. We’re excited about the upcoming year! Our team is dedicated to working with you to make this a great year for our youth to grow closer to Christ. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions or need assistance.
St. Matthew Faith Formation helps children and families grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ through prayer, faith formation, sacramental preparation, and participation in parish life. We look forward to accompanying your family on this journey of faith.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Faith Formation Program at St. Matthew Church consists of five parts:
- ATTENDANCE
Attendance at Mass with Class, Holy Days of Obligation, Stations of the Cross and Adoration on First Friday. Weekly reception of the Eucharist and Reconciliation every three months for eligible members of the family.
- CLASS
Regular Faith Formation class attendance and appropriate behavior during class. Any absence requires a call from the parent/guardian. It is your child’s responsibility to complete all assigned readings and homework should he/she be absent. There will be online assignments for those that miss class.
- VOLUNTEERING
Volunteering in the Faith Formation program & family involvement in Parish life. (The Diocese requires all new volunteers in the Parish to attend a VIRTUS Please check the bulletin in the fall for workshops at St. Matthew Church)
- MASS MINISTRY
All children are encouraged to be ministers at Mass. They may join the children’s choir, altar servers (after receiving First Communion), ushers and readers (after receiving First Communion).
- FAITH FORMATION/FAMILY MASSES
Once per Month, we will have a Faith Formation/Family Mass at the 9am Mass.

Classes meet one Sunday per month from 10:00 AM–11:00 AM on the following dates:

Please note: All classes are capped at 15 students.

Pre-K – Kindergarten:
- $65.00
Grades 1-5 Registration fees:
- 1 Child: $200
- 2 Children: $225
- 3 or more Children: $250
PLEASE NOTE: FIRST RECONCILIATION/FIRST EUCHARIST
First Reconciliation/First Eucharist is a SEPARATE registration form and will be EMAILED in late fall to all Second-Grade students and older students who are eligible to receive in May, 2027.
Please READ and COMPLETE THE DIOCESAN CONSENT AND RELEASE FORM. THIS FORM IS REQUIRED BY THE DIOCESE TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS OF ENROLLMENT.
