St. Matthew 2018 Scholarship Applications are now available for students in High Schools, Colleges & Universities. Students applying for tuition assistance must be active participants in Parish Life at St. Matthew Church (i.e. Mass Minister, Volunteer, etc) and must be able to provide evidence from your school that you are doing the same. To be eligible for a scholarship you must attend Mass weekly. Applications are also available in the Parish Office. Application Deadline: Applications must be turned in to the Parish Office by May 27th, at 5pm.

The St. Matthew Bereavement Group meets Thursdays, from 4-5:30pm to provide spiritual and group support to families grieving the loss of a loved one. Please contact Sr. Sally Norcross (203)838-3788, ext. 118 to attend.



Proposed Parish Recreation & Activity Center
 Msgr. Walter recently shared his vision for the proposed Recreation Center & Enhancements to the Church, Chapel & Parish Center and answered questions from Parishioners at a well-attended Town Hall Meeting.

All Parish Volunteers over the age of 18 are required by the Diocese to have a background check and complete the training program BEFORE THEY CAN VOLUNTEER.
You will need to REGISTER ONLINE BEFORE taking a one-time Safe Environments Training Class.

Memorializing a Loved One


Consider donating the Sanctuary flowers in honor of someone you love.  The Offering is $150.00.  Your loved one’s name will appear in the bulletin during the week of the gift.Candle

Consider lighting the Sanctuary Candle in Memory of your loved one.  The candle will burn for one week near the Tabernacle.  Our beeswax Sanctuary Candle burns 24/7.  The Offering for the candle is $25.00.  Your loved one’s name will appear in the bulletin during the week of the gift.
