It is with great joy that we announce Bishop Frank J. Caggiano has appointed Fr. Frank Hoffmann to serve as Pastor of St Matthew Church, effective July 1, 2023.
Fr. Frank has been serving as Parochial Administrator at St. Matthew Church since January 1, and will succeed Fr. Jeff who resigned in order to continue his medical leave. Fr. Frank has been concurrently serving in his full time position as Vicar for Clergy and Religious in the Diocese of Bridgeport.
Fr. Frank earned a Bachelor’s in Religion/Religious Studies from Fairfield University (1977), as well as a Master of Arts in Religious Study from Sacred Heart University, Master of Divinity in Pastoral Ministry (1990) from Seton Hall University, and Master of Arts in Theology/Theological Studies (1991) from Seton Hall University.
Prior to his appointment as Vicar for Clergy and Religious, Fr. Frank served as Pastor of St. John Church in Darien from 2014-2020, and as Parochial Vicar at St. Catherine of Siena Church for nine years.
